FG Urged To Declare State Of Emergency In Education Sector by Goldenboy36: 12:05pm On Jul 11, 2014
THE Federal Government has been called upon
to as a matter of urgency declare a state of
emergency on the education sector as
necessary measures to address the situation
and safe it from further collapse.
A retired Director of the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) administration, Alhaji Sagir
Hamisu stated this while addressing newsmen
shortly after the 3rd year graduation ceremony
of the FAMAKS International schools Kaduna.
According to Alhaji Hamisu who is the founder
of the school and a 2015 governorship aspirant
for Zamfara State on the platform of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the
government is trying her best but more needs
to be done in the education sector to meet
international standard.
He also attributed the lack of quality education
to being a contributory factor to the
insurgencies being experienced across the
country, stressing that once the problems of
education is adequately addressed and
students are more engaged in schools than at
home occasioned by recurring strike actions, it
will be better off for the country.
He said, “If somebody is educated even
minimally, he can be trained to acquire skills
and will be gainfully employed. So when it
comes to total quality education, then you are
talking about excellent but less start from the
basic education. Once we have that, I can
assure you that there would be no insurgency.
“With education, you open the mind, create
employment, create good citizens, you have
good governance and every citizens will know
his rights and privileges. And so there is no
doubt that education should not only be the
priority of any government or aspirant but
mandatory for any government to give to his
citizens” he stressed.____________________________Visit. www.facebook.com/donpressnews for more educational news.. Don't forget to like the page so that our new post will be delivered into your inbox

its not dat easy bro...a lot need to be put in place to equate both cert....cos basically their foudation are not at par....government shuld as a mata of urgency equate d holders of both cert in government parastatas...dats d short term solution....d long term solution include discouraging offering of courses dat are not technical in nature in d polys......courses like acvounting, marketing bus admin, pub admin etc shuld be scraped from poly, only engineering and oda tech courses shuld me offered.....also creation of more universities to accomodate d "untechnical" courses from poly ......many more measures like same entry requirements, capable facilitators I.e profs and docs shuld also be put in place.....untill all dis are well laid out our edu sector wl continue to be in shambles
