It's heart breaking and unfortunate that a thing as grievious as this is going unnoticed by our government.
the inhumane treatment being meted out to Nigerians living in Guangzhou, China. Recently, a Nigerian businessman was murdered by security men, "gate men" as we call them in Naija. Nothing has been done yet about his death. A man married with two kids. Who would be the bearer of this sad news to his family? who will tell them that thier bread winner has been murdered in far away China and no justice is in sight because there is no standard Nigerian Union put in place in Guangzhou China. (the last executives were all deported by the chinese government for voicing out. THE EMBASSY DID NOTHING).
Attached to this is the young mans picture.
Yesterday evening, Nigerians thronged at the morgue where his body is deposited in silent protest, with keen eyed police watching them. I watched helplessly as our young men were told to disperse by the police.
Barely a few hours later, another Nigerian, Mr. James was attcked with an iron by a Chinese shop owner who is incidentaly his nieghbor. If not for the intervention of other Nigerians who were near by, it would have been another tragedy in China, just about 3 bus stops from where Mr. Ken was felled by "gate men".
when the chinese saw that nigerians had gathered there, they called the police who came in their numbers and saw Mr. James writhing in pains on the ground.
Guess what they did,
They asked for his passport!!!
Imagine the rubbish. there was an uproar by visiting Africans who stood there in solidarity and insisted that Mr. James be rushed to a hospital. An ambulance was called by the police and James was carried off. an interview with Mr. James this morning revealed that the police kept inquiring for his passport and said if it wasn't produced, they would not charged the culprit.
Infact, they didnt charge the culprit who was released last night.
Mr. James has a scar to show for this injustice.
I beg our government to do something fast. If some one knows the Ambassador in Beijing, please talk to him. If nothing is done, Nigerian lives here are at stake.
ACT NOW!!!!!

Our Government should please show concern for her citizens.
It is only Nigerian government that doesnt cater for her citizens in the diaspora; this ill atitude should be changed.
may for the soul of this youngman rest in perfect peace amen.
