Pretty standard I guess, I haven't done much testing yet but when I unplugged it overnight while doing some installation I woke up to meet 70% external hard disk was running the installation and wifi was on. I took it to work and used it on battery for about 3 hours when it shutdown by itself so I guesstimate 5 hours with lowered screen brightness and moderate use.

I used to think so too but I tell you this thing runs so cool you won't believe. My Core 2 Duo + AMD Radeon HD2600 is room heater (it once burnt my leg because I was using it as a room heater lol) so I think I have a fair experience of AMD heat. The laptop CPU doesn't rise much above 40C while gaming while the GPU goes slightly above 50C. But I have done some slight overclocking so both of them are hitting the 60C mark however the fan is doing a great job. I put my hand in the vent air and it doesn't feel that hot.

It is overheating probably. Is the fan working? If it is you can try cleaning off the dust with an airblower (I used my wife's hair dryer on my old laptop). Also check your bios settings to see if your fan is setup properly.

Nice. Some reviews I read online complained about the battery life - they put it at approximately 4.5hours.

Somewhat. PHCN no dey let person see road. Woke up this morning with 80% battery. Ran the laptop on all four cores doing 3.5ghz (turbo), performance set to high and gpu overclocked to 900mhz. It went from 80% to 30% in 1hr. I keep forgetting to turn off the turbo so obviously the APU is using up a lot of juice.

Okay did another battery test. Lowered the CPU frequency to 1.4ghz on the 4 cores and reduced screen brightness. I got 3hrs and about 15mins from 100% to 10% while listening to music and editing documents plus WIFI was on.

Coming from a laptop with barely a 5min charge (1hr when it was new) it is amazing! lol But battery expectations have gone up considerably. I see people disappointed because it can't last 9hrs like an ultrabook.
