....pls advice on this issue...my colleague who just put to bed and currently on maternity leave received the shock of her life yesterday - her sack letter plus 2 months salary. It was delivered to her @home...she's thinking of taking d matter to court. d question now is "is her case tenable in a court of law"
PS: she started her 12 weeks mat.leave on d 19th of last month. Am really interested in dis issue cos we r the only 2 ladies in the coy. Thanks in advance.

As sad as it seems, it depends on the terms and conditions of her emplyment. What does the contract she signed with her employer stipulate? That is what the judge will look at although she might get a favourable judgement if her contract runs contrary to labour laws. A good lawyer will give a better advise when all the facts are known.
