Victomolola: I think johesutes are competent than doctors, why are they not doing the work now? There are job descriptions for each of the players in the health team. One is interdependent of the other if they must achieve in the overall.hence its absurd for any of the team member to infringe on the rights of the other. otherwise, there would be chaos as we currently have. |

matify:Pls who have u seen that failed out of medicine and went ahead to study pharmacy? I believe in stating d facts n nt just writing to win an argument. Back to d topic, it is a known fact that doctors(MDCAN) first took JOHESU to court restraining all parties from going on strike only for NMA to embark on one. Is it not a fact that NMA is not a trade union and dat it's illegal for them to embark on strike? |

All these Doctors shouting about them being the best thing in the hospital should come off their high horse, no one health professional medical or not can work without the the other professionals. Just because they call you a medical Doctor does not mean you can do everyone's job, it is not like on their own they will perform a surgery successfully, neither will anyone work into a hospital that has only a doctor with no auxiliaries. It is like the whole strike thing is hinged on ego and a need to reiterate their superiority as a Doctors. And it is folly for anyone to argue that one has to be a medical person to be an admistrator in the hospital, crap. If ministers from another field can be appointed as head to lead an unrelated ministry even without prior knowledge or related professional training of the ministry. Administration is administration, it is not medicine or medical science, anyone can attain it, as long as you are already conversant with the runnings of the place and have one or two management qualifications. 2 Likes |

jpphilips:The obvious fact my friend is that nothing is happening in the hospitals. Nigerian public as 'gullible' as some people might have misconstrued them to be, know who to see for their health problems and are not really interested in unnecessary bickering going on in the sector though unfortunately, they are made to cough out more to access the facilities in private set-ups. I believe our comrade 'consultants' sorely miss the presence of the 'greedy' doctors, not to talk of helpless situations occasionally encountered when some unfortunate patients present to the 'consultants' on ground only to be told 'doctors are on strike'. Of course, such patients would be bewildered and disappointed given so much noise that has been made of the competence and capability of those who are touted to be 'working' at such facilities as we speak. Perhaps, this informs the antsy court-courting of JOE-HATES-U to 'force' doctors back to save their exposed rear. I bet you, when doctors resume, the greater part of the first set of months would be to salvage what can be salvaged of mismanaged cases arising from pharmacy consulting rooms dotting our cities and when unfortunately and inevitably you lose some, these same 'sharp-corners docs' would be the first to make noise to high heavens of how incompetent medical docs are! Head or tail, the patients lose regrettably. I laugh when you see our 'registered union' comrades in health jostling to collect phone numbers of doctors so they can 'contact' them for 'personal consultation' and referral when the need arises. All these is insane I tell you. 5 Likes |

Oduduwaboy: Wetin concern JOHESU inside NMA matter ? They should go and attend to the patients now . Infact , the practice of medicine should be outlawed in Nigeria so that JOHESU members can have the patients to themselves ...with time too if they like they can gradually assume the title 'Dr' & Consultant which they so much covet ! Jobless doctor wannabes ! Don't mind them. They should take over from us and conduct ward rounds, see patients, perform surgeries, etc. Israeli doctors were on strike for 5 months before their meets were met. Rubbish. |

Tobbie9: This Johesu guys r not serious, instead of them to prove that doctors r irrelevant now and end this once and for all they're busy sueing them to make them return 2 work though i support them not being paid 4 work not done.I agree with you on that- drs are not consulting, pharmacists are nt dispensing cos of no prescriptions from docs, nurses have no patients to tend to, labs are on sit-at-work vacation. Virtually, none of these should be paid. Being 'ready' to work is not the same as working! Therefore pay only the admin staff. 1 Like |

YourHealthlabs: In another news, Medical Dr. Paul Orhii's NAFDAC failed to remit more than 1 billion naira to federation account. This man, when I first encountered you on other threads I must confess I enjoyed debating with you ( i remember using the words conscientious and intelligent commenting on your posts) despite our agreement to disagree, with time you began to ( deteriorate) post half truths then outright lies and I lost interest in your posts/ comments on any issue as you became emotional instead of logical. Evidence of how far you are gone is exemplified by the above post. I see the term medical before dr and pharm instead of prof. Nice one but I see through it. I think its time for you to consider a career in shady journalism. 1 Like |

candy: But are the doctors not those who want autonomous and lordship over every other health worker? Are they not the ones who claim thier duty constitutes 98% of all the jobs in health sector? Other health workers only do 2%. That is why all eyes are on them and shld say the right things once they do the wrong thing or try to open private hospitals. |

Is it only drs, what of pharmacist's renting their certificates or lab scientists running clinics as proudly stated by an Mls on this forum. There is rot in the sector agreed but it is across board. I still don't believe that an auxiliary nurse does surgery. As for all the other auxillaries you mentioned no hospital of repute has just auxiliaries working there. I have worked in the private sector and I know this. Lab Mls, nurses + midwifery, pharmacist too. |

Oduduwaboy: You are the failed physician who has become disillusioned in your failed career that's why you sound like someone who read medicine to escape the poverty ravaging his familial bloodline. I'm sure you felt like 'you've opened shop' after wrigling your way out of med school. Of course your lecturers taught you that the word 'doctor' is a synonym for allopathic physicians only. Like i said earlier, ask GEJ and everyone else to stop using the title 'dr', it's not too late to make it your 100th demand sorry 'commandment'. Of course oduduwaboy invented the word 'doctor' in his bedroom. He'll be surely obliged. Stone-age practitioner. 1 Like |

This guy who sees himself as the embodiment of all laboratories in the 3rd world is clearly deranged ...he has no facts to hold a discourse with , he is nothing but a charlatan who holds a forever grudge against Medical Doctors who he thinks to denigrate by referring to them as Allopathic doctors...he just came across the word i believe . He needs to understand the meaning . No matter what you say, or do ,yiou remain a Doctor( medical Doctor) wannabe ! Even if you get a Ph.d in anything, your likes still don't get the fulfilment you crave. You forever remain a failure . Cheers bro! ( With the level of hatred you have for 'Allopathic ' doctors make sure you never consult one ever again till you reach the post mortem table ). |
