Why did Hitler kill so many Jews? What was really the reason for his hatred of the Jews?

He blamed them for the treaty Germany signed after the Great war/ financial manipulation (taking advantage with capitalism) / poisoning German identity.
Nationalism was popular in Europe back then and he did grew up in Vienna where German nationalism was common so...
The National Socialist German Workers Party were socialists (you can tell from their name apparently) and they didn't only hate the Jews but the hated the communists,gypsies too. in fact the communist were the first to be prosecuted and he sent most of them to Dachau camp even before the second world war began.

You should also know that all his anti Jewish rhetoric and laws were technically in accordance to German law at the time, after all his party had the majority in the Reichstag and the laws had popular support because his government was really doing well in creating jobs and making Germany look great again after the first world war. Although there were concerns from the western powers as to what the fate of the German Jews would be when some of those strict laws were passed,they didn't want to upset Germany because most of his reconstruction came from loans in Western banks especially America. instead they wanted the German government to make it easier for the Jews in Germany to migrate.

Had he not invade Poland, those sentiments wouldn't have meet any real resistance it will be like the case of black and white in America where one group was discriminated against for a while and integrated later.

so in conclusion the hate was against anything not German and those who he (including most German officers) considered as traitors during the first world war and not only the Jews. but since they are a significant chunk of German's (western and central Europe) society at the time, it did look like they were the only ones being prosecuted. and besides they have a history of prosecution (no one really liked their capitalistic attitude at the time.)as well so it made sense that people usually don't talk about the other minorities that were disenfranchised as well.
It seems to be more of an ideological battle between the capitalist, socialist and the communists.
