The case is now receiving the medical team attention at Lagos. All Port Health Services staff throughout the Nation is expected to be extra vigilant, you should report on any suspected cases while taking into consideration the necessary aseptic techniques in handling such cases.
Furthermore, you are all expected to institute the necessary actions to the Border Communities.

what you can do as an individual

1. watch out for fever which ia persistent from morning till night. it is usually very high. don't assume it is malaria.

2. look for redness of the eyes that persist more than two days despite using eyedrops.

3. watch out for anyone who deteriorates clinically very fast. from very active to bed ridden within a very short period of time.

4. persons that cough out blood, vomit blood, urinates blood should raise your suspicion

5. MOST IMPORTANT, DO NOT TOUCH SUCH PERSONS. destroy all materials they come in contact with. buy gloves to handle such materials.
