Fruit bats of the Pteropodidae family are considered to be the natural host of the Ebola virus. Severely ill patients require intensive supportive care. Now, there is no cure or medicine or anything for the EVD, at least not officially. It is a swift, vicious killer. However, some people survive. The ebola-virus disease claims about 90% of its victim’s lives. There’s hope.
