The speaker is just being mischievious. So Tambuwal could also have declared the seats of our rep members who defected to APC vacant ? Mr Edo speaker, your actions must follow due process.

Sometimes i imagine if APC were the ruling party at the federal level, may God forbid though,Nigerians would be very sorry for voting them into power.

Why is it difficult for APC to obey Common court orders? Why is it difficult for OPC APC to play by the rules?

APC not obeying court order?

if true, then they dont worth being voted in.

what about PDP, do they obey court order also?

bird of a feather my papa dey chop together.

The problem is, that is one law that has been blatantly ignored by all parties since 1999. Especially in Abuja...where defections at the National Assembly are just met with a big yawn.

so this should apply rivers state too simple

It should apply everywhere....but your politicians have come to an agreement that for the sake of peace, the sharing machinery must not be jeopardized.

Or to put it in the language of the scientists....every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

A competent court of law ruled that there was no division in the PDP.. And until another court rules otherwise, that argument won't fly

Obiagelli, stop this rigmarole and let us face facts. There is a subsisting court order stopping the house from declaring seats vacant. Is it right for the speaker to have delared such seat vacant? Yes or no?

What we saw was a group of people who aren't satisfied with the status quo and took to the press!!!

Well, what we saw is subject to different interpretations.

And the only acceptable interpretation is the court's interpretation. And the court said there's no division.

Court said there was no faction in PDP and moreover, the said Edo law maker political platform ACN is no longer in existence hence there is no comparison.

According to Nigerian constitution and Electoral Law 2007 as amended every ACN, CPC, ANPP former members are free to defect to any political party of their choice on the ground of the merger.

when bright omokhudion moved from pdp to acn , he was immediately made the speaker of Edo House of Assembly, while zakawanu garuba was removed at the time. that was a crooked plot masterminded by Adams oshiomole for the then acn members to surpass pdp in order to vote out guruba as the speaker because he refused to lick oshiomole's as's. at the time of the saga, more than 10 members left pdp for the then acn and nothing happened .so ,why is this case treated with impunity?

The PDP was factionalised prior to their defection. However, the Speaker's action is null and void pending the subsisting court order.
