Our client, a newly established architectural company in Lagos with the goal of being a reference point for architecture & construction industry in the country is about to commence operations. To ensure a smooth and aggressive take off of operations, the company is looking to fill the following positions within its organisation structure:

BUILDING TECHNICIAN - ARC 001
Core Functions for this position are:
• To prepare designs, working drawings, schedules and specifications to interpret and satisfy the clients' needs.
• To ensure that all proposed building projects comply with Building Regulations, Fire Precautions and Statutory Requirements.
• To liaise with other Project Team members in order to produce building designs and specifications and to maintain a pro active role in the realization of the project.
• To keep abreast of new trends and developments in the broad field of Nigerian and African market demands for building requirements, innovations, components and techniques as they apply to Company products and procedures.
• To operate within Company systems and guidelines and comply with budgetary controls
Qualifications
• Bsc Architecture
• Professional qualifications or Masters would be an added advantage
• At least 5 - 10 years experience in building architecture
• Proficient usage of CAD
Person Specifications
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent IT skills, plus proficiency in using Microsoft Office, the Internet etc.
• Previous administrative experience, with well developed time management skills and the ability to successfully manage a high volume of routine tasks to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy even when under pressure

SITE ARCHITECTS/ CLERK OF WORKS - ARC 002
Core Functions for this position are:
• Supervise construction projects
• Monitoring the progress and quality of works, enforcing the construction specification
• Ensuring that all necessary contract and other regulations and administration procedures are initiated so that approved works may become adopted and maintainable upon completion
• Maintain records and assist with the preparation and monitoring of financial and administrative control of work
• Approving works of Contractor/Sub-contractor for inclusion in scheme
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports as required on progress and resources used, in particular recording non-compliance with works and specifications, which may lead to additional works and claims
• Site diary including photographic records
• Record of works progress
• Monitoring and maintaining records of additional works
• Monitoring and maintaining records of labour and plant
Qualifications
 Bsc Architecture or related discipline
 Minimum 5 years experience in site/building architecture
 Proficient usage of CAD
Person Specifications
 Excellent organizational skills
 Excellent IT skills, plus proficiency in using Microsoft Office, the Internet etc.
 Must have an understanding of the complex processes of design and construction
 Attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy even when under pressure
 Site experience on multiple projects is of more importance than design capability
 Ability to deliver to tight schedule

ARCHITECTS - ARC 003
Core Functions for this position are:
• Preparing and presenting design proposals to the client;
• Making use of design and project management, specifically software packages such as Auto Cad and Sketch Up
• Advising the client on the practicality of their project.
• Adhering strictly to financial budgets and deadlines.
• Producing detailed drawings from which costing are made.
• Work closely with other professionals, including engineers and surveyors, to make sure that their buildings meet the necessary standard & specifications
• Develop groups of buildings in area regeneration projects, design alterations to existing buildings, and advise on the restoration and conservation of old properties.
• Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed timescale.
• Proffering solutions and solving problems that might occur during building;
• Design structures that satisfy their clients' needs while conforming to the laws and regulations of the areas in which the structures will be built
Qualifications
 Bsc Architecture
 At least 3 - 5 years experience in building architecture
 Must possess ample site experience
 Proficient usage of CAD
Person Specifications
 Excellent organizational skills
 Excellent IT skills, plus proficiency in using Microsoft Office, the Internet etc.
 Must have an understanding of the complex processes of design and construction
 Attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy even when under pressure
 Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and able to deal effectively with a wide range of people
