DrTee1: Honestly, I must say those words written on the prized shirt which my USA -returnee Uncle gave me back then in secondary school:

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Let no one castigate the person here who wished they had ebola or the fellow praying to be an American in the afterworld.

What they both value, in essence, is the organised system of the United States.

However, I believe that they, and we all, can, and MUST take collective steps to make Nigeria like America.

We must first copy countries like South Africa, Singapore, China & Maylasia... We can become America.

We must gather ourselves together, forget this religious rabidity that has currently led us nowhere but sunk us even further into squalor and penury.

*I'm a practising Christian, mind you. I also respect Muslims and our various traditional peeps. What I disapprove of however is agnostism. I firmly believe in the existense of a One True God.*

We must however relegate religious idiosyncrasies to the background while striving at bettering our Fatherland.

We must abhor ethnicity, tribalism and the nepotism it breeds. We must give preference to abilities and qualifications rather than the glorified 'Federal Character.'

We must shun corruption, greed and avarice. We must embrace discipline and contentment. We must realise and celebrate the DIGNITY of LABOUR.

Finally, we must be Honest in ALL our dealings and flourish the core values of Faith(in God), Consistency (of Purpose) and Forthrightness (in deeds).

With these, we would sufficiently make Nigeria a place to be proud of. I'm convinced that we would attain all of these in the near future.

What we need are citizens willing to take the paradigm shift essential for these developmental changes.

We need not only good leaders, we have them already. What we now need in addition is positively oriented followership.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
Nice speech!

shugacaneman: i saw it on the news while he been moved to a hospital in an ambulance and helicopters following him. I almost wanted to have ebola. Chai see how much his country values him.

Why not! The man is carrying a deadly super virus that could spark an epidemic in the US, the last thing you want is any form of carelessness or losing sight of him for even a second till he's in a contained unit safe inside a hospital.

Go contract an alien virus, you'd be escorted with fighter jets grin (that's if you're a western citizen) if you're just a Nigerian, sorry, they'll eliminate you.

EBOLA wahala.
Girls no longer hug their guys,
the highest they
give nowadays is 45` instead
of the normal 360`.
* Guys are now afraid to shake
their fellow guys
instead they throw way
salutes like soldiers.(Na
their fault?)
* People now wear long sleave
sweaters,
headcovers, and trousers
while entering buses
and taxi no matter how hot
the weather is.. (See
as Naija take turn Europe o)..
* Neighbours, even family
members become
suspects at the slightest sign
of illness..(the one wey nearly
make my neighbour go call
health
officers for me because say I
sneeze 2 times
today).
* You take a girl out for dinner,
drive her back to
her house, walk her to the
door-step, she leaves
you, walks to her door, open it,
waves at you and throw a
goodnight kiss at you (if you
like catch
am).
* The aboki that sells suya
beside our house dey
chop Him suya himself these
days because even
the suya is a suspect (Who
wan die?)
* Nigeria Police don't arrest
People by Themselves
anymore, if You commit any
Crime just do the
arresting by Yourself.(Just
Handcuff yourself
come station, use ur hand by
self enter Cell)
* My friend is no longer dating
our Neighbor's
Daughter called BOLA
* YORUBA People in My Area
now greet EKU EBOLA O.(I dey
answer them EKU BACK TO
SENDER).=))
