Why Steinberg Nuendo Is Better Than Pro Tools by ChynoBEATS: 7:31am On Aug 03, 2014
1) What is Nuendo,

what does it do, and who is it for?

Nuendo does everything that Pro Tools LE does
and much much more, without limitations.
Nuendo is the best in every way. Full-featured
color schemes and window sizing, it has the
best file architecture. The look and ‘feel’ can’t
be beat. It is great for surround mixing and
mastering.
Setting up for midi and audio recording.
Nuendo never freezes and has no evident bugs. If the
system crashes,
Nuendo has a crash-recovery feature that. saves your unsaved moves within a projectname.crs file.

Nuendo was designed to meet the demands of working professionals in all genres of audio. production.

Let’s look at Steinberg’s NuendoV4, a powerful
multitrack recording, editing, surround and
film-post program,and arguably the
world’s best DAW. "Shey una agree with this ish " It is an amazingly well designed system. Like other Native systems, Nuendo uses the computer’s own processing power to run its engine "Sho' eheen.. cheesy buh come o .. :-/ wetin dat sentence Mean. Sef?? ".

Well No Mind Me jare just dey Read am Go cheesy

The prerequisite is a fast machine. If you have a later Tower Mac G4, a nice new Mac Pro or a recent Windows PC, you can reach in to the hundreds of tracks.

Nuendo uses a digital operating engine called
VST. VST is now a widely used and growing
format, enabling full 192K recording, and
offering a world of tools like plug-ins and
virtual instruments.

Nuendo supports more formats than you might
expect. It can import AIFF; AIFC; WAV (Normal
and Broadcast, which includes embedded text
with additional file data); REX; Sound Designer
II; and MPEG-1 Layer I, II, or III (also called
MP3) audio files at resolutions from 8 to 32
bits. Files can be exported to MP3, RealAudio,
AIFF, WAV, and Windows Media Audio. You can
also extract audio from a CD by importing the
track or tracks into the Project window or Pool.
Support for Virtual Studio Instrument (VSI) and
ReWire lets software instruments and
programs such as ReBirth and Reason be
integrated into Nuendo's multitrack mixer in a
real-time environment.

2) Can I use Nuendo for music production?

Absolutely. One of Nuendo's greatest strengths
is its ability to mix in a variety of output
formats. With support for mono, stereo, and
any surround format with a maximum of eight
discrete channels, Nuendo is a great candidate
for producing and mixing music, scoring and
placing effects into a film or TV show, or
creating a surround-sound design for a new
video game.

An important aspect of Nuendo is that it works
entirely in a native-processing environment.
Every function — processing, mixing, routing,
the whole works — runs on the computer's
host processor or dual processors. Advanced
multiprocessor support is included. That
approach has the distinct advantage that the
software isn't tied down by a preconceived
hardware design, but it can be upgraded as
computer technology develops and processors
get faster. Consequently, the system will grow
with you without demanding a massive
reinvestment each time your hardware
expands.

3) What are the benefits of Nuendo?

It is a full-blown media production system!
If you have used Steinberg’s Cubase, Nuendo will be a snap (Cubase is more oriented toward midi
sequencing and composition). In fact, Nuendo
V4 contains full Cubase features "choi! Really?.... cheesy. ".
But even if you’ve only toyed with another DAW, Nuendo is user-friendly and fairly easy to learn, with a. very nice user interface.
It also incorporates
some standard features which Pro Tools to date
does not have, like every channel on the mixer
having a full channel-strip with EQ, and
automatic delay compensation for plug-ins (a
great “no brainer” that Nuendo has had since
day one, and PT is now finally getting around
to). It has plenty of Midi, too, enabling the use
of the popular Native Instruments and virtual
samplers like Halion and Sample Tank.

If surround is your thing, or “mix to pix,” Nuendo
has those features fully implemented. In fact,
some broadcast and film facilities now use it as
their main production system. Basically, there’s
very little that Pro Tools HD does, if anything,
that Nuendo doesn’t do. If you want a cost-
effective powerhouse that will grow with you
into the age of surround sound, give Nuendo a
long, hard look

Abeg shey una don Gree ?? Cos NuenDo is Now a bad a'ss DAW
