I need some computer geek to help me out here. Whenever i try to post a reply on NL using my Laptop, i am automatically logged off. I will stay logged in until i click to go to a next page or to submit a reply.

I am using a system in a Cyber cafe to post this. It's apparently no problem using another computer. But on my Laptop, which i have been using for a long time, i suddenly cannot stay logged on for long. someone or something logs me off.

Can someone here offer a solution to this problem for me ?. I have used another account to log in on my laptop, but i still have the same problem. But on another computer, i do not have any problems at all.
Could it be a virus attack or what ?.
i may not be able to post any replies since i cannot use my laptop for that . I hate Cyber cafes.

Have you tried scanning your laptop for viruses? Also, have you cleared your browser's cache?

this is no big deal. I figure you browse nl using IE, try using mozilla or some other browser. I experience same ish

Also, cyber cafes are not safe. A malicious person can perform MITM attacks on the local network. Since Nairaland doesn't use SSL at all, your Nairaland account and password can be compromised

Well MCdokwe deserves the troubleshooting credit here for formulating the solution. Which version of IE are you using? I believe that anything less than IE11 is garbage. I personally use Google Chrome.

Yes, it's working. Bur Mozilla is terribly clogged with adverts. Kind of irritating. I will try Goggle Chrome.

That sounds very un-Firefox like even though I hardly use it. If you are still experiencing Ads with Google Chrome, I advise for you to do a malware scan of your computer.

I use IE 11 as well but it still does not work. I actually thought I was d only one experiencing the problem. Unfortunately, IE is my favorite browser.
