Nigeria music industry is increasing everyday with the advert of
talented young musicians springing up day by day, One of such person
is talented Nigerian singer, producer and rapper Chijioke Francis
Anuebunwa who is know as Babyboy.
Abajamz.com caught up with the young Nigerian on in an Interview, he
told his story, how he started and what Nigeria should be expecting
from him, he also sited Ace producer and singer Duncan Mighty as his
musical influencer.

We will Like to Know you?
Babyboy: Well my names are Chijioke Francis Anuebunwa, know on stage
as Babyboy, i am a rapper, singer, song writer, Performing and
recording artiste.
I was born in a Family of Six from Nkwere LGA of Imo State.

Let us Know your Educational Background?

I had my Primary School in Orie Iru Primary School Nnewi, Anambra
State, New Layout Primary School Mgbidi, Imo State and then Mgbidi
Boys Secondary School, Mgbidi Oru West LGA, Imo State and then
National High School Aba, Abia State.

How did it started for you in the music industry, Do you intended
to be a musician right from time?

Actually i have always dreamed of being a star, my first love was
football, so football took me to Ghana, there in Ghana i had a
terrible injury that ruined my footballing career, this ignited my
love for music, i learned music production over there and started as
a producer, before coming down to Nigeria where i developed my rapping
skills.

You are know as BabyBoy, we will like to know how that name came up?

That was in Ghana, a pretty lady gave me the name, and going into
the industry, find the name intresting and Unique, so i decided to use
it.

You did a song don’t keep me waiting featuring Nwa Mummy and you
came up with a Video last month, what is next for Babyboy?

The song don’t keep me waiting was produced by me, so i will be
droping another self produced single Kerewa which will be avaliable on
many Nigeria blogs in the Next Few days and also my Monthly Event
“Babyboy show” that comes up every last sunday of the month at
Heartland Holiday restort Aba, where various artiste from far and near
will be performing alongside myself. We are also having plans to make
the show bigger and better.



How was life for you growing?

Growing up for me, was fun my family is an average Nigerian
Family, we are not rich but my Dad made sure there is food on the
Table three times in a day and him being a police officer, due
transfer we lived in many cities for. I was born in Abakaliki, Ebonyi
State and live in places like Benin; Nnewi Anambra State, Mgbidi and
Aba Abia State.

Which record Label are you signed to?

I am on my own for now, Baby Entertainment.

What if a bigger record a label come calling?

(Laughing) It depends on the offer, i might consider signing but
for now, i am the CEO of Baby Entertainment that is my own record
Label.

With what you said earlier, if not for music, i guess you will be
playing football, but if not for the two, what else will you be doing?

Nothing. I have always dreamed of being a star, if not for
football and music, i will probably be into another form of
entertainment.

Is babyboy single, married or searching?

(Laughing) I am single. But let me say i am married to the a M.I.C

But you are not still searching you are to a kind of relationship
with the opposite sex?

(Laughing) You ask funny question, ok but the answer is no but i
have many girls who do come around, mostly my fans.



The Babyboy we see on stage, is this the same chijioke at home?

Chijioke and Babyboy are two different people. Babyboy is the
crazy performer on stage and always carrying the fans along while
Chijioke likes staying with loved ones, and relaxes by watching
football.

What will Nigerians be expecting from you?

Few more singles and collabration with top artiste, but am not
disclosing names now, then after the single album we will fellow. Like
i normally say, i am ready to feed Nigerians with Good Music.
