Martial Arts Instructor, Part-Time

Position Description:
Administer and supervise Martial Arts instruction under the principals of Character Development and the martial arts curriculum produced for the program.

Minimum Qualifications:
1.Must hold a certified rank of black belt in martial arts e.g. karate,Taekwondo or judo
2.Minimum two years experience teaching martial arts classes
He/she must also have excellent oral and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must attend and complete Martial trainings as required.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to start of scheduled events and stay late as needed.
Communicate problems and concerns shared by the participants to program director.
Must be able to relate to all program participants in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
Have confidence needed to enforce rules at all facilities utilized to carry out the program.
Must provide the safest possible environment by helping to organize and maintain the program area including any equipment used by program participants.
Report any and all incidents to supervisor.
Responsible for carrying out approved emergency action plans in the event of an emergency.
Clean program area before and after activities.
Set up and prepare playing surfaces prior to program start and return and store equipment after program to provide a safe environment.
Communicate effectively with parents, coaches, participants and volunteers.
Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
