PRESS STATEMENT WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH OMISORE – SDP

We hereby dissociate ourselves in its entirety from a statement credited to some political parties that our party, Social Democratic Party (SDP) has adopted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore as candidate for the August 9, 2014 election.


This is misleading and fraudulent on the part of those who purportedly issue this statement. We have said it several times that SDP has no pact with any political party in this election. SDP is a unique party that has nothing to do with people of doubtful character.

Our party has presented the best candidate, Mr. Olusegun Akinwusi to stand for this election and we are sure of winning the poll without any iota of doubt. We call on security agents to arrest without delay those who issued such statement signed without names of signatory. To SDP, we ask: who signed for SDP? This is fraud in its entirety.


SDP denounces falsehood and the party frowned at this type of shameful political tactics few hours to the governorship poll in Osun state. Once again, SDP and our candidate, Olusegun Akinwusi is standing for this election.
