@genchukky, most recent models have their engine numbers in places that aren't easily seen and some don't have at all. It's a normal trend for cars to be registered with just d chassis number. You have nothing to worry about if it isn't available. Enjoy

Get a mechanic and he will show you where ur engine number is on the block. Include it in your next renewal.

All cars have engine numbers but some are easer to see than others, tell your mechanic he will tell u, because u will have problem with the police u know them they know where all engine numbers are located. Or u can google it so u will have an idea where its located before u go to ur mechanic

Dude, while most cars can be registered with just the VIN, its impt for yur own peace of mind to locate engine number n include it in the papers. The nig police is not yur friend ooh! I had several heated arguments with them yesterday on the same matta. At one of the check points I had to part wit my hardearned 3k becos I was running late n dey wia being unresonabe n annoying. So pls locare it wia ever it is n include it in yur papers becos of the semi illiterates we hv in our police force. Am sorry if I am being over critical of the police but I know wot I lost at on yesterday becos of the delays, a 1hour journey took me almost 3hrs n I...grrrrrrrrr
Infact I still dey vex!

In fact in Anambra state, I had an encounter with the NPF concerning this issue, truth it it's not relevant but these NPF won't agree, Just locate your engine number and put it in the column for the vehicle licence if you can or when u doing renewal if not, then go hold you down and they wud make sure you empty your pocket there and then.
