Is Nigeria better off a ONE-PARTY state? This is what most Nigerians seem to want, a monopoly of power. A monopoly always leads to abuse, it doesn't matter how well intentioned the actors are! The objects of the abuse will be you reading this post, you will be attacked, killed, made to pay 10 times more for a product, have no say, have no choice, your children will be sold as slaves even before they are born! Is that what Nigerians want?

That would be similar to Communism. At least two parties would be better.

communism isn't a 1 party state, its an economic system where nobody own property except the government who then shares it equally among everyone (money, land, etc etc)

I think APC has been good for Nigeria indirectly. All of the countries terrorists, jihadist, cocaine pushers, over taxers, liars, gossipers, bloggers, pedophile governors, boko haram, agbero, fulani herdsmen, rice electorate, sellouts, and bad belle enthusiasts have been put on one boat that won't sail with no hope of acquiring real power. GEJ has used to make the previous northern rule of nigeria into a balance participatory system where technocrats are placed where they need to be (agriculture, power, industry, finance, aviation, transport etc). While APC continues to nominate 55 year old men as youth leaders.

If it was a 1 party state we would be under the party of Okonjo Iweala, AND Bola Tinubu. The good would mix with the bad and you won't know what you're getting. At least, for example, the people that nominate APC members are the same that sell their votes for rice and ijebu garri so they get the type of party that suits them. In a 1 party system we wouldn't know what we were going to be getting (like pre-GEJ PDP)

One party system will be disastrous, there will be no check and balance in governance. I think APC will be naïve if they believe PDP will be glad to lose their hold on the country, PDP is fighting dirty which is expected, what is not expected is APC thinking otherwise. So let APC man up and up their game.

Because you are reasonable, and you think beyond today it is very easy to see the implication of what we are planting today.
Those who could not see it today either for their hatred or love for just one person or because of ethnic or religious reasons will soon cry out when the table turn. Our major problem is our inability to distinguish between personal and national interest.
