If you are an iOS user, BlackBerry Messenger has been updated to 2.3.0.12.
A newly redesigned ‘Add Contacts’ screen where you can quickly and easily:

Review and accept invites from other BBM users
Find friends using BBM
Invite address book contacts to download BBM
Add new contacts to BBM by PIN, email, SMS, and barcode
Display your barcode and scan barcodes all in one screen

Bug fixes and performance improvements
