its a new technology which prevent the re-use of syringes. In many cases people will just wash the syringe and re-use. Of course this is not safe and the infections such as HIV and Hepatitis can get spread. This works that once the syringe is used, the needle retracts into the casing and the white plunger breaks off – isolating the needle into its case.
