I have a php wesbsite hosted by suddenly I loosed one of my wordpress website hosted by the hosting site mentioned above. Now that have seen the evil of free hosting I want to move my remaining website to paid hosting site ( ipage.com ) to be precised. Erudite Nairalander Webmasters how can I do this without loosing all my contents? Please come to my rescue before it's too late. Regards, Oyogreat. |

That can be done by having your backup. If you don't know how to get the backup, just signup with the host and tell them you need your old host backup to the new host. 1 Like |

Backup your files! Either its another wordpress or php scripts. Also back up your database. Then goto your new hosting, update the database. And restore your files. *i can do this for you @lil token. 1 Like |

try checking if ipage offers free website transfer, if they do, good for you  1 Like |

It all depends on the web host involved. Some webhosting companies e.g LoadedHost Offers Free File Transfers and database. So you can sit back and relax as your website would be moved. You wont even know you changed host. 1 Like |

Thanks to everybody who had contributed immensely on this topic but I need a step by step approach guide on how to backup my files and database! Either another wordpress or php scripts. Then how to update the database and restore my files in my new hosting. |
