Javascript before php, because javascript is a client side server script language, along side html, css. So you could just learn that before going into php. |

There is always an argument on this. It is supposed to be JavaScript before PHP, however JavaScript is far more tougher than PHP, so most people prefer to come to JavaScript last. I personally learnt JavaScript first and mastered it before going into PERL(you dont need that though) then PHP |

That is what we were using before PHP came, in those days it was Perl or ASP before ASP.NET came out and PHP started getting popular. |
