I don't know if there are more than 3 or 4 Python programmers in Nigeria. Why Django?

i took a look @ django in 2006 @ the prompting of a friend and i must say it favorably competes with the equivalent frameworks in java that i am familiar with (such as struts and jsf). i think google did a lot 2 draw attention 2 python.

ruby is another language that demands some attention. i have used a tool called WATIR developed in ruby. u can google and find out what it does, and i can say i was pretty impressed. developers need 2 take a look @ plenty of those so called obscure languages and find their treasure. ruby is very popular in japan though.

There are Nigerian Python programmers, maybe not in Nigeria at the moment but Nigerians none-the-less. I will answer why I use Django in our earlier thread.

If you asked around you'll be surprised at how many good python programmers you'll find. Python is a great language and once you fall in love with it it is quite hard to settle on something less. I use PHP in my day job but python is the go-to language for me for my personal projects (and work projects if I can get away with it). I started out with Django but the modular (as in not a behemoth) nature of Flask has weaned me off of Django.
