The thread and entire post appears to be what it is. A badly conceived thread from an idle south eastern youth suffering from the same, narrow mindedness, parochial and stunted world view that led their region to starvation and defeat in the sixties. Who told you that the world would allow a clueless government to be so irresponsible to abandon civilians in the north especially women to a force like Boko Haram?. How do you know the military will not overthrow their leadership and government at the slight hint of this idea?. What of Cameroon, Chad and Niger, do you think they won't step in to take over the areas left for BH?..why do you think they will let BH loose on their border without intervention, what of France, UK and US?. And do you not think the world is not getting tired of the clueless one and is local minded government and all you his spare part seller children supporters?. Let me educate you, Nigeria is a great country, the people living up north are also intelligent members of the human race currently battling against an evil force just like the whole country, the same way Niger Delta militants were kidnapping Niger delta children and billionaires' wives..so it is something a responsible government should fight and defeat. If the GEJ Presidency cannot because of cluelessness, corruption and lack of exposure we will vote in somebody who has the charisma, single mindedness, strength of character and honesty. Somebody like Buhari.

As a matter of military strategy its pertinent the army continues its tactical withdrawal from towns in North East Nigeria and allow Boko haram to seize and control territories.
After the 2015 elections, the Army including the Airforces and infantry soldiers will launch operation BLACK CRAB to encircle boko haram and annihilates 80 percent of their fighting force in one single blow using the Assult helicopters, Jet bombers and ground troops.
Also a new Division should be open in the Nigeria army under the DSS where Civilians from other part of Nigeria can volunteer for one month military training and deployment to the north east Nigeria to engage boko haram fighters. Those Civilains will be know as NIGERIA PATRIOTIC COMMANDOS( NPC)
The rebel declaration of caliphate is a welcome development because it will open a new front in this war and make it a conventional warfare and not the endless guerilla war.

Did you not hear the Arewa Youths order for the Easterners to leave the North? Why can easterners not go and live on their land? You come across as grossly uninformed to suggest that the the north doesn't have solid minerals. The north is the most endowed region with regard to solid minerals (less oil). Gold, Uranium, Limestone, Tantalite etc abound all over the north. Educate yourself more. Agriculture is the second largest GDP contributor, and 90% of crop cultivation happens in the north, and it is renowned as the agricultural hub of the country. Human Resources? Lol.

The North has resources but rejects resource control and fought against Nigeria dividing

It is views like yours that make skeptics suspect that this government is tacitly tolerating and encouraging the upheaval in the north because of the 2015 elections.

Some have argued that for as long as the crisis persists, there wont be elections in those areas, thus whittling down the numbers of expected anti-GEJ votes.
