Some of the biggest names in hip-hop came from the same high school!
Famous people grew up like the rest of us, for the most part. Barring child actors, they went to school, made friends, and enjoyed the various hobbies that kids generally do.

However, what was going down at George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School that produced so many hardcore rap and hip-hop artists?

Could you believe that Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., Shawn Corey Carter, Earl Simmons, and Christopher George Latore Wallace all came from the same vocational high school in downtown Brooklyn? To most outside the hip-hop world those names probably don't ring a bell, but they may know them better as Busta Rhymes, DMX, Jay-Z, and The Notorious B.I.G. respectively.

The school is located at 105 Tech Place, which is just south of Tillary Street and east of Jay Street and is named after George Westingouse, the electrical pioneer. Interestingly enough, it is also one of the schools that dropped a Native American-themed sports team name.

Sharon Stone Lied For Years About Her 148 IQ. Did Someone Not So Smart Outsmart Millions?
In the 90's and early 2000's, Sharon Stone had maintained the fact that she had an IQ of 148 and was a member in Mensa International. Mensa International is one of the oldest and latest high IQ societies in the world.

The starting IQ acceptance into the organization starts with 131. Sharon Stone claimed for years that her IQ was 148. But in April of 2002, she admitted to the world that wasn't in fact her IQ and she was never apart of that society.

Was it a publicity stunt or a simple lie to make herself seem smarter? Either way, she outsmarted millions of people into thinking she was that intelligent, when she in fact wasn't. But is she considered smart because of her ability to make herself appear smart? Whatever she did, she was able to make it work for years.

Someone with an IQ of 131 is considered be in the 98th percentile. Being a member of this group can leader to scholarships and an elite status.

English actor Brian Blessed is an adventurer at heart. He has climbed Everest three times and is the oldest man to have trekked to the North Magnetic Pole by foot!
It is impossible not to adore the big bearded English actor Brian Blessed. This loud, jolly man is not only a very accomplished actor, he has several achievements under his belt – all of them amazing!

He is the oldest man to have trekked to the North Magnetic Pole by foot! Brian is an animal lover and owns 2000 pets. He therefore refuses to take a firearm on any of his adventures to defend himself against wild animals. One night a polar bear made its way into the camp and tore into Brian's tent. Apparently Brian stood up, yelled and punched the bear in the face. He did not see the bear again.

Mr. Blessed climbed Mt. Everest three times without the assistance of oxygen. Although he has not yet made it to the top, he wishes to keep on trying until he does. One of his expeditions were cut short when he had to save another climber's life. Another one was interrupted by an avalanche. The story goes that Brian shook his fists at the avalanche and yelled: "We came in peace!"

Brian is always the adventurer and also went on an expedition into the deep jungles of Venezuela. Unfortunately it started with a plane crash which Blessed survived.

Brian is now hoping to go into space for his next adventure. He says: "I'm a fully trained cosmonaut and have completed 800 hours training, which has made me the No 1 civilian reserve ready to visit the International Space Station. I am determined to go up and I want to explore the Moon, Mars and beyond!"

Greg Graffin, the lead singer of "Bad Religion", also holds a PhD in zoology and is a biology professor at Cornell University.
Bad Religion is one of the longest lasting and most influential punk bands in history. The band was co-founded by lead singer Greg Graffin in 1979, and he is the only consistent member of the band.

When he isn't yelling into a mic, Graffin is teaching life sciences as a college professor. He's a pretty smart guy.

He double-majored in anthropology and geology as an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),then went on to earn a master's degree in geology from UCLA and received his Ph.D. from Cornell University.

He returned to UCLA to teach Life Science 1 and also teaches at Cornell University.

His intelligence shines through in both his education and music. It's not too surprising that someone who writes political and activist music is smart enough to get a Ph. D. It would definitely be interesting to be a fan of the band and have their lead singer as a professor!

Bill Murray is known for being a comedic genius, and starring in cult classic films such as Ghostbusters, as well as Groundhog Day. It's very rare that you'll find someone who doesn't know who Bill Murray is, or, someone who says that they don't like ANY Bill Murray films.

In 2010, Bill Murray decided to enter a bar with two members of the Wu Tang Clan, RZA and GZA. The three gentlemen walked straight behind the bar, and started taking orders for drinks. But, no matter what anybody ordered, Bill Murray poured them a shot of Tequila and told them to drink it!
