The Ian Flemming bond film series started in 1962 with 'Dr No' starring Sean connery as Bond. As of 2014, there have been 23 Bond film series. The latest being 'Skyfall' in 2012 starring Daniel Craig.
Daniel craig has also being signed for the twenty-fourth and twenty- fifth Bond series.
In between the twenty-three films, there have been six actors who have successfully brought the Bond character to life.

Daniel craig made me stop watching bond movies. The guy is the opposite of james bond. He practical stood against everything the previous bonds stood for.

He's charismatic and yet aloof, courteous to women without appearing chauvinistic (unlike Sean Connery and Brosnan), good looking without appearing too pretty (unlike Moore and Dalton), and talks with an actual British accent (unlike the fake one used by Brosnan or the weird sounding one used by Connery).

Again I reiterate, Daniel Craig is the perfect James Bond of the Modern era. I'm pretty sure dear old Ian would have approved.

And yes - I agree with you, Craig's Bond is a fit for the present era. But remember Connery is not acting as James Bond now. Right? He acted as James Bond in the 60s and 70s - he was a perfect Bond for his era.
