Breaking: Ebola Kills Another Medical Doctor In Port Harcourt by thexyz: 10:16am On Aug 28, 2014
While Nigerians are still sad over the death of Stella Adadevoh, another doctor, who secretly treated a diplomat who had contact with the Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer, has died of Ebola in Nigeria.

The doctor, who has yet to be named, died on Friday. His wife has taken ill and has been quarantined in Port Harcourt. Interestingly, the diplomat the doctor treated is still alive.

The diplomat, who was part of the team who met Patrick Sawyer in Lagos, flew to Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State for treatment, evading government surveillance for the disease. The late doctor then took him to a hotel for treatment.

Consequently, 70 people have been quarantined. The doctor's hospital, Good Heart Hospital in Rivers State, has been shut down. The unnamed hotel, where the secret treatment took place, has also been shut down.

The Minister of health and Rivers State government are expected to make a statement on the incident.

Why would a licensed medical doctor conceal such case of national concern and opt to administer secret treatment in a hotel

it's not that the diplomat had
EBOLA written on his
forehead. A rich man calls you
on the phone saying that he is
sick and ready to pay ANY
PRICE you name for you to
treat him but you must treat
him at his house or hotel. the
doctor asks " have you
travelled recently" the reply "
No". have you come in contact
with anyone with suspected
ebola "No, stop insulting me
by asking such questions and
do your job. after all, I'm
paying you". considering that
tests to confirm ebola is only
done in lagos or Edo state,
you can't say " wait, let me
send these samples to those
states while you stay
untreated".
my only fear is the number of
persons that visited the
diplomat and the doctor at
home to see the baby as well
as the hotel staff that catered
to the diplomat.
imagine the above
conversation in a government
hospital now that the strike
has been called off.

BTW, 1.9bn Naira would buy cars, houses, etc. guess the minister is now looking at 2015 edition of cars to buy

He's just a licensed medical illiterate. That's why I normally advise people to meet medical consultants or seek treatment abroad than these general medicine doctors who are licensed to kill at will.
