Some traditionalists noted that the government placed too much importance on the foreign religions, but claimed that the adopted religion without the traditionalist would not help in curbing any outbreak of ailment.

Some front-line herbalists and the Aare Ogboni Agbaye of Osun State, HRM Oba Okikiola Atanda Lawal spoke to newsmen recently, saying that the deadly Ebola disease threatening the country could be cured using traditional methods if the government would aid them.

Oba Okikiola pointed out that the government abandoned traditional medicine long ago while the consequence is what the country is experiencing particularly the emergence of Ebola disease.

He said that traditionalists could play a huge role in the development of Religious Tourism in the country which he said would serve as an essential balm to many of the spiritual problems.

According to Thisday, the traditionalist noted that the government placed too much importance on the foreign religions, but claimed that the adopted religion without the traditionalist would not help in curbing any outbreak of ailment.

Oba-Lawal who called for full support from the Federal government on the practice of traditional Medicine stressed that our leaders in the country were being selfish and did not mind what the people were passing through interns of insecurity.

He urged the government at all levels to emulate what the governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola was doing in promoting all religion in the state.

He said, Aregbesola's government was the first government to declare a holiday for Isese Day which makes the traditionalist having equal right with their counterpart in the religion circle.

He canvassed that traditional medicine should be included in the school curriculum in other to avail children the knowledge of what tradition was right from the elementary school.

He opined that if the government could attend to the plight of the traditionalist, the country would become more peaceful as he blamed the problems of the country on neglect of the traditional medicine.[pulseng]
