Recently,I've taken note of higher death rate of husbands(leaving their wives as widows) than wives(leaving their husbands as widowers) in our society. Foe example, I can count more than 12 husbands who were my friends that have died left their wives becoming widows as against about 2 wives who were friends that have died left their husbands as widowers. So,am wondering what could be responsible for this trend with so many widows around without husbands. nowadays, widowers outnumber widows. However, you may not have noticed this since widowers tend to remarry while many Nigerian widows do not. |
