These are animals who doesn't have much sense of reasoning, yet they're faithful with their mates, which some human beings find difficult to be, maybe those people need to be shown this thread to let them know and realise that faithfulness in relationship is a virtue and not difficult to achieve.

Its funny when you see HUMANS compare themselves to these ANIMALS!

It is for a reason, a very good reason that they are referred to as LOWER ANIMALS now!

[b]Due to the 'simplistic lifestyle" of these lower animals, they can afford to have a single mate for life but same cannot be said of humans.

Just give these "lower animals" the opportunity to use Mobile Phones, Facebook and other social networks, expose them to "money", bling-bling like assorted SUVs, Viagra, Homosexuality/Lesbianism, adult toys, e.t.c and you will see that they are not exceptional as we tend to think.

MAN was not created to be Monogamous from the ONSET! NEVER.

But Monogamy is good and that is why the Western Govts tried to impose it as a family system, due to the "deadly fights" that go on in families, after the death of the "patriarch father" in those days...

But surprisingly, Monogamy has not stopped "cheating, serial "divorce and remarry", homosexuality and gender-related violence, even amongst the Western Monogamist .... SO whats the "Biggie and Noise" about?[/b]

Well, for these animals, I think monogamy is by instinct but for man, I know it is by choice. That's why humans are called 'higher' animals?

Monogamy is good but have we ever bothered to ask why the many patriarchs of faith were polygamous & yet their faith was commended. Monogamy at all cost is the reason why a lot of men cheat. The doctrine of one man one wife didn't expressly come out of d mouth of Jesus, but of his disciples who pioneered d church (though only required for would be church leaders). Personally, I feel monogamy is more of western tradition than a biblical requirement, though I like it for the sake of peace.

What you see in animals is also what you get in humans,most men stay with their wives till death while some don't. This is also applicable to those animals highlighted above,nice thread with research

The fact that u didn't list out the most monogamous animal in the world makes dis compilation invalid. Love birds are the number one most faithful animal in the world. They virtually do everything together as a pair. They love to play a lot affectionately!
Also, most birds from the parrot family(e.g kaka, kea, corrella, and macaw) are more faithful than most animals listed above!

Like seriously! I mean, this birds are so faithful that the death of one affects the other. In fact, depression and boredom set in, and eventually the widow or widower dies. These birds actually make romeo and juliet's love seem ordinary!
