The Holy Spirit guides us the ability to please God.

Hebrews 11:5
"5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God."

Genesis 5:22-24
"22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:"
"23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:"
"24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him."

The life of Enoch shows us the kind of life we ought to live as children of God.

The Spirit of God will not dwell in the life of a Sinner.

How To Live The Life That Pleases God
-Repentance: Only Salvation can give us the ability to live a pleasing life with God.
Romans 8:5-8
"5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."
"6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
"7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
"8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."
-Living an Holy life is an evidence that one as recieved salvation
1 Thessalonians 4:1-8
"1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more."
"2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus."
"3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:"

5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:"
"6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified."

Jesus pleased God while he was in earth with us.

- The Culture of this world can not meet up with the standard of God.
- Obedience to his Word pleases God.
