I saw the article below and decided to share it. Am not the writer . I didn't see India on the list. Thought there is high crime rate and rape cases there. More so, I didn't see Nigeria, that's good to me.

United Nations, every year, tends to put together the data of global crimes in its Global Homicide Program. The purpose of this report is to glimpse upon the stats of the countries which have had highest crime rate. It is of no surprise that a lot of countries have been enlisted in this report, and it seems that the competition among them is very high. But unfortunately this competition is in negative respect so I believe it needs not to be high, a country’ government instead should try to create an environment of peace and harmony for its citizens.
Here is the list of top 10 countries with highest crime rate in 2014.

10. Ethiopia:

Ethiopian citizens are under serious threat of internal crimes and external wars. The peace seems to have been ended from this nation. Every year, according to a report, over 2000 people are murdered in road accident, terrorism attacks and about 1200 women are raped and physically harmed.

9. Korea:

Both North Korea and South Korea have lack of external defense. The government, however, keeps the corps and military intact to protect the borders but the foreign nations especially USA keep on influencing Korea’s internal matters and try to apply its own policies, due to which the environment of the country becomes restless every now and then.

8. Uganda:

Uganda has the highest murder rate in the world, according to a stat report the crime of murder has reached over 92 % in Uganda. Not only the murder but also street crimes and rape cases have been increased for a few years.

7. Zambia:

Zambia is a nation of black and uneducated community. The people here live miserable lives with close to zero monthly earnings. The increasing rate of unemployment is saidto be the reason behind increased crime rateof Zambia.

6. Italy:

The reported crime rates in Italy have been doubled as compared to 2013 stats. This is a beautiful and developed nation, but unfortunately the government has to some extent failed to provide the people with peaceful environment. The working women in Southern Italy are especially under serious threat of rape and murder crimes.

I hope Brazil will take the lead with all that happened prior to the world cup

United States of America is the super-power of the world. It is absolutely true to say that USA has so far no competitor in terms of strong economy and advancements. But at the same time, USA’s people are having serious problems of crimes. The rate of street crimes has increased about 73 % as compared to that of last year. In addition to this, the gang-rape and smuggling rates are touching the skies.

I can easily come to terms with every country on the list but Canada.

Not true to a large extent, we have so many ruthless country like Mexico, Brazil etc & yet op placed canada to be 2nd on the list united states have been having problems with this their assault riffles but non the less Brazil will still top the list, statistics should be done again.

y would Nigeria be on that list. Forget what is happening in north east presently, Nigerians are peace loving people, our only problem is "bad leaders".

It is top 10 not top 1,000.

Some people are asking why Nigeria is not on the list while some citizens of the listed countries are (maybe) asking why they are on the list (even when some of them know that they have earned the spot). Most times we are quick to discredit ourselves and it is because we tend to exaggerate things a lot. We've got a lot of issues but that doesn't mean we should always appear on the list of top evils. Let's give ourselves some credit. If we say we are number one in crime rate, it is nothing to be proud of. Some people will say 'we are just saying the truth' But you know, we can quietly deal with our problems without having to tell everybody about it.

I was believing this article until i saw Canada in it. Adding Canada to that list makes no sense at all, It's one of the most peaceful countries on earth. Op must have been smoking too much weewee when he wrote that.
