Osun Guber: APC,PDP Lawyers Exchange Words at INEC Office by unuane1(m): 7:04pm On Sep 09, 2014 |
The legal representatives of All Progressive Congress (APC) and that of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday exchanged words over election materials used during the Osun governorship election on Aug. 9. The election tribunal, on Aug. 27, gave an order to INEC to grant both the PDP and APC access to election materials used during the governorship election for inspection. Mr Wuyep Ishaku, the INEC lawyer, was trying to furnish both parties with the materials requested for inspection at INEC office in Osogbo when he was interrupted by APC lead counsel, Mr Daud Akinloye. According to Akinloye, the request and motion of the PDP to inspect Exhibit ‘A’ of the electoral materials used by INEC during the governorship election is ambiguous. He said that this was in spite of the fact that it was an order from the election tribunal. He said that INEC should clearly state what Exhibit ‘A’ in their custody was and bring them forward for inspection by both parties. Akinloye alleged that INEC was conniving with the PDP to make the inspection “a PDP thing”. Reacting, Mr Kehinde Adesiyan, the lead counsel of PDP, countered and told Akinloye to keep quiet and listen to INEC’s lawyer’s explanation. The argument became heated when Adesiyan told Akinloye that he was stupid and the latter stood up raining abuses on him in return. Ishaku was, however, able to calm the situation by explaining to Akinloye that INEC would present a paper listing materials in exhibit A in its custody. According to him, it is an inclusive list of all the items and materials used during the governorship election. The tribunal, sitting in Osogbo, gave an order on Aug. 27 that both parties should be granted access to election materials used by INEC during the election. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/09/osun-guber-apcpdp-lawyers-exchange-words-inec-office/ |

PDP and their hobby... Lest we forget what happened in 2007 with Justice Naron and Kalejaiye leading the election tribunal. Both partied should do the checkings together. Why must PDP alone be allowed to check a material? Be like say federal might don dey involve ooo. APC should watch their back. |

These PDP are obviously bad losers, when Fayemi lost in Ekiti, did the heaven fell? Because the corn-eating murderer has now lost the guber election and rejected in Osun state, the egocentric PDP cannot manage this, I suggest the PDP should go and read John Maxwell's book - Failing Forward. So if their inept and clueless master lose the general election (which he is bound to loose) in 2015, we must be ready for war? PDP, go get a life. The broom is waiting to sweep you away in 2015!!! 1 Like |
