In fact, according to photographer Birk Mobius, the break in the lightning bolt is a Boing 777, which Mobius says was struck mid-air. It’s a one-in-a-million shot Mobius took on Aug. 24 while he was at Taucha Airport near Leipzig, Germany. It was, he wrote, “probably themost unique and spectacular” shot he got all day.
