NYSC speaks on N4,000 fee for printing call-up letters
Abuja — NATIONAL Youth Service Corps, NYSC, yesterday, explained
that the N4,000 fee imposed on prospective corps members for
printing of call-up letters on-line was for services and infrastructure
to be deployed by the collaborating firm.
Director General of NYSC, Brig-General Jonhson Olawumi, said the
money was neither for the scheme nor the corps producing
institutions as it was being alleged by some quarters.
NYSC, in a bid to improve its operations in line with global cutting-
edge technology, went into partnership with a private company,
Messrs. SIDMACH Technologies Nigeria Limited, for the full
computerisation of the mobilisation process.

Shame on FG and this useless NYSC.

Almost all agencies of FG are "innovating" ways of stealing from their customers. Nigeria is on the brink.

Fraud examplified.Assume a conservative estimate of 50,000 corpers per batch and d man at d top of nysc gets to have a commission of N1000 per corper, dats N50m per batch.A year has 3 batches=N150m into his pocket just frm commission. If this is not easy, quick, fast, huzzleness cash,I wonder what else is.
D DG deserves a summary sack.QED.

Let's look on the bright side of this ,even though it smells like extortion ,in the short and long term it mite benefit the corper who before now would have to spend an average of 30k and rixk their lives travelling to som far flung school just to retrieve that letter from the school. So on the plus side it would save parent and sponsors of corpers the average of 24k which can be channelled to preparing for camp proper
