Economics don't lie.C=y+s and S=y-c were c=consumption, y=Income and s=saving.What am saying is that consumption depends on income and saving,on other hand saving is that part of income that is not consumed either income minus consumption. Did economics lie?

Y=c+s, but S=y-c.If u hv #20 and u consume #10 for all your expenses, the #10 left is your saving.

autonomous consumption rather,but one may be forced to ask to what extent really is that part of ones consumption autonomous,i mean can we prove it even to the lay man on the street that there is a part of his consumption that is not dependent upon how much he earns.which means that even when he decide to stay out of work he will not die of hunger and still settle his bills
