No offence, but it looks like a nairaland copycat. Perhaps u shd put a skin around it to make it look different.

Other than that, remove the poll at the top of the page as it is pushing everything else down. If it absolutely has to be there, then consider making it horizontally long as opposed to vertically.

i also find that what ever on top very disturbing.
And generally too colourfull do not allow people to be able to put up those mighty avatars.
maybe its just old age but they are very disstracting to me.
