You guys should just calm down, nothing serious is beginning this week. Just try to be in sch to get some infos that's all. The whole of next week is for orientation, after that things will begin to look up properly.

and it's dangerous being in sch especially at night without a decent place to stay.

You took the words right out of my mind and finger and mouth.. It is true that the academic calendar is out,but,because it says: 'Jan 4th-lecture starts' doesn't necessarily mean lectures will also begin for Freshers .. Accommodation haven't been sorted out yet.. Some things are not fully in place yet.. Let me give my own theory: The entirety of this week will be used for accommodation clearance,then,Next week,will be for orientation/matriculation(which happens to be part of the orientation programme).. Then,by Jan 18th,lectures starts for Freshers.. Note: These are just MY THOUGHTS,and i do not expect them to be 100% correct or believed,BUT,don't rule them out.... But please don't kill ur self with hyper-tension all in the name of forming i-don't-like-missing-lectures student/over-serious student..
