The news about Sekem master MC Galaxy being assaulted by a Washington DC promoter, Spotlite Entertainment, hit the internet a few days ago and a huge debate about what led to the assault followed on comedian Chief Obi’s Instagram page.

The video of the shameful incident which happened out in DC on the 12th of September, has just been released.

It is wrong on every level for a promoter to lay his hands on any artist. Our Nigerian artists should be treated with utmost respect. In fact, treat people with respect!

Hope other American promoters watch this video and know WHAT NOT TO DO when you invite an artist to perform. It is your responsibility to promote your show! And we wonder why these artists have bodyguards?

Thankfully, MC Galaxy is okay. He performed in Houston the following day.
