A topic for debate.
What do you think should be the fate of the 12 Out of 18 Nigerian soldiers who
fired shots at their GOC and were on monday found guilty of mutiny by the
court marshall who sentenced them to death. Please, do remember that they
pleaded not guity on the grounds that:
1. They were not given good arms to fight the insurgents in the north and
because of this, they loss many of their mates in the hands of the insurgents.
2. They were trying to explain this to their GOC and instead of listening to their
plight he walked out of them which led 2 their provocation.
Question:
1. Under S36 CFRN 1999 do they still have the right to appeal
2. If answer to the above is Yes which court should hear d appeal and why?
