•One soldier killed, four others injured

By Senator Iroegbu

The Nigerian military in another round of fierce battle with the Boko Haram Islamic terrorists over the strategic town of Konduga has captured one of their top Commanders , killing hundreds of others.

This was confirmed Thursday by the Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade in response to THISDAY inquiries in the ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations in the North East.

According to Olukolade, the "seriously wounded high ranking terrorists leader is being treated in a military medical facility after he was captured in the operations at Konduga".

Emac: Wait a minute ooo, why are our soldiers going through d rigors of fighting this terrorist alone. I thought d U.S army where going to help us fight d battle just as they claimed..where is support? Drones? Or equipments and money given to them by our Govt.. Cos I only see Nigerian Foot soldiers lately.. Some one pls educate me!! cry
The US never said they would nor did they deploy soldiers to nigeria. Instead they sent us intelligence services and personnels which obviously is being effective in the leakage of bokoharam attack plans beforehand, and reduce in ambush rates on our soldiers. Mind u, these are secret agents mostly from CIA. They are meant to be invincible just lyk our Nigerian intelligence agents should be.
