Boko Haram Was Jonathan's Re-election Plan All Along by dlex21(m): 7:47pm On Sep 27, 2014 |
Found this piece interesting and I decided to share... Enjoy!! Rather than leap for joy at the declaration that Abubakar Shekau, leader of the dreaded Islamist sect, Boko Haram is dead, Nigerians are flabbergasted and taken aback by how suddenly the military and other security operatives seems to be getting everything right. Like a scene from the '24' series, the good guys are closing-in on the bad guys and the world is saved from a global disaster but only that the Boko Haram saga was a plot all along. It looks like a script that was written to help President Goodluck Jonathan get reelection into office. You ask why? Boko Haram insurgents are the only terrorists in the world that would surrender on a daily basis to a once-weakened, ill-equipped, poorly funded military when the country is only months away from election. Globally terrorists groups like al-Qaeda, Shebab or Islamic State do not sheath their sword because election is around the corner neither do they surrender on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong, we all want terrorism to cease in Nigeria but the writing on the wall shows that we probably had an artificial terrorist group in place and reports linking friends of the president to the funding of Boko Haram confirms this. They sacrificed thousands of our fathers, mothers , brothers, sisters for what? Re-election? Sure looks like it. If that is not true, why is Modu Sheriff eating, drinking and charting the future of Nigeria in Chad with President Jonathan? The former Borno state governor’s affiliation and association with the dreaded terrorists is quite pronounced and very glaring, yet the government sees no reason why he should be prosecuted. Azubuike Ihejerika’s role as the conduit pipe for siphoning funds and arms to the sect has also been reported. Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, is the latest person to link the former army chief to terrorist funding. However, the spokesperson of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar says it would be ‘wicked’ of anyone to link him to terrorism. What kind of government is this? Jonathan cannot deny his own role in the activities of Boko Haram because his friends, with whom he shares a common interest, fund them. That aside, over three months ago, shortly after the Chibok Girls were abducted Jonathan had a meeting with Nigerian editors and when asked about the girls, he dismissed the question with no remorse on his face. He said they would be found in words but his actions clearly said otherwise. Now, our military. How do we explain the new-found vigour and intelligence of our military, if it is not one on a script because this is the same military that has loaded Nigerians with so much lies ? You will recall, when the Chibok Girls were kidnapped, our military came out the next day to brazenly lie that they have been recovered. That was one of the hundred of lies. Then, they lied that Boko Haram did not take over Gwoza; same was said of Bama and same was said of Damboa and the 25 other towns /villages they controlled. Our military also said the sect had not hoisted its flag but that again turned out to be a lie. Another lie they sold was that our soldiers never ran to Cameroun but that lie was quelled by the Camerounian military, then our lying military then said it was a ‘tactical retreat’ .Another lie was that the military had the requisite arms and ammunitions used to fight the insurgents only for our soldiers and their wives to revolt in Maiduguri. Miraculously, the release of the Chibok Girls will happen within days and the president will move to the next scene of his reelection bid. The next scene on the script is that, President Goodluck Jonathan will come out as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s (Endorsed) candidate who was cajoled to contest and feed us more lies. He will come out in a colourful and luring ceremony organised by TAN and sponsored by the missing $20 billion to declare that he has defeated the terrorist sect, Boko Haram. We expect him to claim that he will do more if given four more years but we know it was his plan all along. The jigsaw is falling into place but this time the icing on the cake will melt because they have goofed . Their attempt to con Nigerians into getting them re- elected in 2015 has hit the rocks. We cannot all be fools at the same time, can we? By Chinedu Okolie Source: www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/09/27/boko-haram-was-jonathans-re-election-plan-all-along/ 12 Likes |

sholatech: Politricks...Before now, he was called a weakling and clueless president with no solution to curb Boko Haram. Now Boko Haram is been defeated and we have a new political theorem that Boko Haram was a scam....and u're nt rattled dat in less Dan few months to 2015 elections suddenly nigerian soldiers appears to b winning dsame war it defected to Cameron for fear of bokoharam.d sudden event wch saw d dreaded imposter of (shekau). D same bokoharam repelled nigerian soldiers in a fierce battle on ocassions in their numbers n mustard d courage to declear part of Nigeria territory a caliphet.a scenerio wch shld hv declared Jonathan incompetent n eventually impeached. Tell me, which sect in any part of d world surrounder in their hundreds? Terrorism is a believe n they'll rather die Dan surrounder or risk bn captured. Everything was a grandplan to play smart on nigerians. So nigerian soldiers all of a sudden became so gallant n nw hv d rite weapons to fight in a bare face of a rocket luncher n RPGs ? Modu shrif to me, was only playin a chess game for his pay master n his involvement wit bokoharamites was orchestrated to further perfect their game. Its nt by accident, dat modusherif fell out wit APC n while him n his cohorts lasted, APC wld easily be link to bokoharam n labeled terrorist party, a plan wch was already working, wch grand plan was to destroy APC. It was all decoyed n a master plan for 2015 Jonathan re-election no doubt. Its only a pity nigerian politicians cld put d lives of its citizens on d line for a mere political semantics, what a shame! Majority of us, can only see a bleak future nothin more. I cld keep on n on...don't be surprised, if Jonathan is tried for aiding n abetting terrorism n conspiracy wch is a phelony offense...be wise, majority of us voted Jonathan thinkn he was a savior but he's as it stand, d eveil genius 6 Likes |

jayonpoint: Not at all, we are not on same plane. If you have relatives in the Military( low or top brass), you would have known that recently they have upped their strategy including bringing back some from Sudan and about 10,000 retired officers have been recalled just weeks back. And new military hardware are entering the country. And for the political alignment of Sheriff, im sure you know he had NEVER been in good books of PDP, he was with ANPP with Buhari( major financier of ANPP) and only left APC because of a major brawl with Tinubu..I prefer to respect the Military who are really out to prove doubters wrong and sure i am very optimistic that we are really waging war against terrorism with strong support from other countries. Anyone is free to have his own theories and permutations..it is always so worldwide! 4 Likes |

To me and majority of the Nigerian masses... We don't know if this was a scam all along but if it was... Then using the lives of innocent Nigerians to scam just because of the hunger for power is inhuman to say the least. But one thing I know is the truth will eventually be known be it now or in the future... 2 Likes |

chimerase2: If boko haram is not yet defeated dem go say he is using it to depopulate de not against 2015 Your comment really changed what I would have written here because you are really on point. However, The OP's article has lots of points to think about. I think what is clear to us Nigerians in all these is just like the tip of the ice berg, while the main issues are kept deep within the ocean..... My opinion is that we make our situations worse ourselves. The reason is that Nigerians can smile or laugh over everything. At times reading a news about my country from here would make me think there may be a revolution soon as it would have been in other parts of the world but most times, nothing will be heard again. Issues that demand questioning, we will even make youtube videos, comics and all sorts of things out of them. That is why the fools up there believe they can go away with anything they do. It is only in my country that $20bn would miraculously disappear and after 1-2 weeks of talking abt it, everyone would forget abt it or at most laugh over it. Hence, why won't 234 girls be missing? I read recently that NYSC asked the next batch Corp members to pay 4,000 naira to print a form...I won't be suprised that some of the concerned people would have done so. The little times i'v spent outside the country, i'v seen that citizens can determine their lives more than government only with seriousness ....by saying NO to what they don't want and YES to what is allowed. 3 Likes |

The problem APC has with GEJ is the proverbial "if GEJ walks on water, they will it is because he can't swim" 1. GEJ changed COAS, which means strategies changed. 2. Modu sheriff was in apC till just few months ago. 3. Ihejirika's case is cos he is igbo and they are sympathetic to boko ahram and as such they saw everything he did as genocide cos they feel he was retaliating the civil war. 4. Davis wasn't hired by the FG, he mentioned that aPC are gaining from boko haram through CBN, but that one has been put aside. It is better for your enemies to underestimate you than for them to overestimate you. This is the case of GEJ when he was seen as clueless. |
