The Man Right For Abia State by Abiaredemption(m): 12:53pm On Oct 01, 2014
Following the announcement of the incumbent governor of Abia State, Gov. T A. Orji, under the platform of Abia State PDP to impose on Abians, an Abia south governor, I and a lot of Abians, see that the remaining bones of Abia State will soon be consumed by dogs.

From the drama that unfolds each day, it's no longer a news that some person's have been brainwashed into believing that the problem of Abia State, is that it has not produced an Abia South governor.
Aba is part of Abia South, will an Abia South governor under the, imposition, influence, command and control of the incumbent, transform Aba and Abia State?
My point here is this, the issue with Abia State is not where the governor comes from, but who will act that role of a governor truthfully.
From Abia south guber race, we have,

Barr F N Nwosu-
hasn't held any known political position in Abia State.

Barr Paul Ananaba-
a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, hasn't held any political position yet in Abia State

Sen Enyinnaya Abaribe-
Abia State's Deputy Governor after Orji Uzor Kalu's 1999 election to the Governorship. Impeached in 2000and 2003 He. was elected to the national Senate in 2007, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs, member of the Committees on the Independent National Electoral Commission, Senate Services, and Works. In October 2007, as Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of the banned secessionist organization Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), was on trial for treason, Abaribe and six other southeastern senators protested at the Federal High Court in Lagos to demand his release He was re-elected for Abia South senate, in the April 2011 election. He is currently the chairman Senate Committee on Media and Publicity

Chief Eric Acho Nwakanma-
in 1999, Abia State House of Assembly, represented Obingwa East State Constituency. In 2003, re-elected and subsequently named Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly. He served as the 4th and then the 6th Deputy Governor of Abia State, from 2006 to 2007 under Governor Orji Uzor Kalu and again under Governor Theodore Orji from august 2010 to 2011. In April 2013 President Jonathan appointed him as Chairman of the Board of National Neuro Psychiatry Hospital, Enugu.

Emeka Wogu-
vice-chairman of the Aba South LGA in Abia State (1991-1993), chairman of the same LGA in 1993. Federal House of Representatives in 1998. In 1999 he was briefly the political adviser to Orji Uzor Kalu, governor of Abia State. He represented Abia State for two terms as commissioner at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, appointed Minister of Labour on 6 April 2010,

Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu-
was the General Manager of the Abia State Passengers Integrated Manifest and Safety Scheme, ASPIMS, Deputy Director General, Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA, Aba Zone.

The profiles of these illustrious sons of Abia South is robust and what have they done? We have expected that Abia State or Aba alone get a face lift, from the people who are natives on Aba, even from those who haven't held any political positions.

For years, almost all of them have held key positions in Abia State and Nigeria and yet their people cannot say one tangible thing, they have done for them.

I will restate my point again. It is not where the governor comes from that matter but who will be the governor truthfully.
It is very easy, yet too difficult for some people. Very few ordinary people, form ordinary places, have hardly held any political positions in Abia State but have proved themselves worthy.

I will like to introduce you again to Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. The name rings a bell. This man is not from Abia South but Isuikwuato LGA

In the midst of all this political activities, this man though have not held any political position at all, has distinguished himself. He proved that you don't need a political position to work for your people.

His runs Masters Energy Group, with over 6000 employees, education sponsorship for every child in his community, small scale business sponsorship to every youth and widow in his community. He has also built over 50 houses for homeless people around him and constructed some major roads.

Through the Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah Foundation, schools and communities at different places, all over nigerian has seen some level of improved.

Therefore Abians, friends and we'll wishers of Abia State, let's not allow this zoning matter to make us loose the one person whom have been tried and tested. We must embrace this philanthropist, for a better Abia.

Considering the Abia State's charter of Equity, it allows rotation of Governors office withing the zones in Abia State and isuikwuato district but powers that have been in control have abused this charter.

Even if the charter isn't considered, we must note that since the creation of Abia State, no person from Isuikwuato district, has ever held any key political position in Abia State. The best they have gotten is either a commissioner or member, house of representative, which can obviously not be taken away from every zone.
It has always been a Bende, Umuahia and one time Afikpo governor with Abia South deputy or house of rep. Speakers. Are they now trying to tell us that they will clean up the mess this time?

This doesn't mean that Isuikwuato is considered a minority in Abia State but the Isuikwuato people, hoped there would have been an application of common sense in the political affairs of Abia State.
Finally, good people, any person that wish well for his people will not go about fighting for Abia South or any other zone, to produce a governor but must fight a good fight, for a good person to be the governor of Abia State, regardless of which part of the state he comes from.

God has blessed us with a man like Uchechukwu Ogah and the one thing this man will want to leave behind in this world is Legacy and good name. We must at this time be part of a history in the making.
