*I feel lonely in this crowded world*

I was lonely in this crowded world.
Life battered me during the day,
While at night, i had no shelter.
No one gave me attention,
Those who cared to, treated me as trash.
I felt rejected and my heart bled.
God has forsaken me, I thought.
But one day i met someone who i called my friend.
Oh atlast i found a shoulder to cry on,
I found someone who will confront life with me.
I found a companion.
Everything was fine but distance separated us.
Still i pledged never to let go.
But then a shadow in my past came hunting.
I craved for more attention.
And unknowingly i ruined our friendship.
I am a sinner for i hurt my only friend,
Someone who filled a void in my life.
Oh God why was i careless?
I am deeply sorry but who will listen!
What went wrong, i know and i've dealt with it.
I love my friend dearly but my friend no longer believes that.
I beg for another chance but really do i deserve it?
For I hurt my dearest friend, my companion.
I doubt if my friend still sees me as a friend,
So now, i feel lonely in this crowded world.

In this poem, i actually poured out my heart on how i felt after i hurt a very dear friend.
