Wrong information.Have you enigmatically wondered why the VC hasn't announced a date yet?

It's simple.Majority of us are cognizant of the fact he's finishing his tenure by April.Ostensibly, he would be given a severance package,(tons of money and awards) but only on one condition:If there's no crisis.With the looming SUG entanglement, he wouldn't want to sacrifice billions of naira for the sake of some hellbenders.That's basically the one and only rationale why he tried giving ASUU a 3months leave. (You can imagine)

Unfortunately for the him,ASUU collectively and consensually kicked against it in their congress.There's a senate meeting on Monday in which the matter will be deliberated on.

Let's wait and see.

But the fact still stands, if he decides not to open the school till March or even April,no one can apprehend him for it.

Our appreciation goes to the National Association of Nigeria students(NANS), leadership of Zone D and Universities of Ibadan and Lagos Students' Union for your undiluted solidarity.
President Buhari in his media chat already took cognizance of our yearnings as he acknowledges the infrastructural decadence in our nations tertiary institutions. This is a remarkable feat of our struggle. While our doggedness as pioneers of the clamour for improved students' welfare condition must be commended. At this point, it is strategically pertinent to re-direct our agitation to a more national front and outside the four walls of our institutions. We hereby call on the Minister of education cum the Finance Minister to ensure the release of the 500 billion naira earmarked in the 2016 budget for infrastructural development in our tertiary institution.
President Buhari's assertions on the unpalatable living and learning infrastructure in our universities vindicate our agitations as a moral one.
We once again wish our students a happy new year and an impacting period ahead as we await the resumption date in the upcoming senate meeting .
