Please,Let us use this platform as a medium to inform and share to the public the new strategies scammers have adopted.
Here is mine:Around Idomota axis(lagos island) there are som group of men that have turned scamming into an open legal business.
Modus Operandi:They have a bus stuffed with electronics,they disguised as staff/agent of any renowed company esp Gotv.They adopts a marketing stragety to attracts people(JJCs).
Then their mouth peice will start advertising "Make una com try dis promo,na Gotv send us,dem dey celebrate dier anniversary,na free promo,so if you become winner,we go register you then com give you ur prize sharp sharp"
Then one of them will act a role,by picking a ticket to convine the anticipating mugus on ground.
Once a victim is convinced and plays the so called promo,they will tactically bring out a number to blend with that of the victim,then one of the scammer will congratulate him and present his prize for him,then the scammer will ask the excited victim "shey you wan carry am go or you wan sell am?"
Victim:I want carry am(the prize)
Scammer:'hands over the prize it might be a tv or standing fan'
brings out a form, "oya sign here,write your address,phone number, but you go give us 1.5k or 2k (depending on the worth)
Victim:sharply fills details and pays.
Scammer:Collects the electronic backs saying "you don fail the promo,you number no tally.
The disappointed victim tries to complain,argue,yell,fights etc, but he would be overwelmed by all the rest criminals.
The astonishing part is that this set of criminals have two backed up armed policemen(mopols).
Some onlookers even gets harassed and robbed.

This is Lagos where weird things happens.

The bus is always parked beside GTB bank,I always see them when I drive by.

Also please beware of those people that call you early in the morning and tell you your number was given to them in a dream, they try to play on your religion, listen to them at your own risk. What I believe is that they dial random number. My wife received a call at about 6am sunday morning

Caller:good morning sir
My wife:hello
Caller:pls sir, ur no was given to me in a dream dat is why am calling
My wife:pls I don't know u

Next thing he started asking where my wife is based, what she is doing for a living e.t.c I had to step in and since then we did not hear from him again

You are on point Sir,its indeed a day light scam. And since it is been done on a daily basis,i wonder when they would be brought to book.
