1.I dont really know but most downloads I ve see is msi
2.Check behind your battery your your product code

guys, please i want to upgrade my firmware for my E71 using the offline mode. how do i go about it?

Numaj. . . I do all my firmware upgrade online. . . . . . . . For online upgrade use either Joikuspot. . . . . Or tis': Just connect to ur one touch. .and memorise the name of the connection. . . . Exit one touch and nokia pc suite. .the click on "connect to" on your start menu bar. . . . Look for the conn u created usin' and connect to it. . . . . .then launch the nokia software updater. . . .and watch it update. . . . . . . . .

Offline upgrade neva worked for me. . . .even after I got all firmware versions I.E Rm313 for mea, euro, apac, e.t.c, . . . . I f^ckin' suffered,

Numaj. . . .Usin' online software update is way too good. . . . . . . . If the conn fails while downloadin', ur phone is still intact. . . . It only gets delicate when ur firmware has finished downloadin' and ur phone is updatin' in the process. . . . . . . . . That's where the intrestin' part comes in. . . . . . . If there's a problem while installin' usin' the Nsu. . .ur phone is still intact. . .Nokia assures that. . .ur phone makes sure the present firmware install completely before removin' the previous one. . . .

That Nokia care suite gives me the creep. .it almost spoilt my N70 then. . . . .I wuz fuc!<in' pissed I thought it was dead. . .until a friend of mine did his magic. . . . .
