Hello NLers, pls am having problem converting this time and date to Nigeria local time: Thursday 16th October 11:00am EST. You can also explain how you arrived at it. Thanks!

EST stands for Eastern Standard Time. GMT is
known as Greenwich Mean Time . GMT is 5 hours
ahead of EST.

Meaning that time when converted to local time here will be 6hrs ahead since we're GMT+1? And time will therefore be 5pm here?

. Just add 5 to it est is eastern us time et. So just add 5 to get the nigerian time

. Lagos is under gmt. Don't campare lagos time with northern city times ed london or Paris. Because the use daylight saving time. Which is. Since it gets dark on time. They reverse their time by one hour to 'save daylight'
