Buhari Crushes Goodluck Jonathan In Early 2015 Independent Survey by asala1: 8:41pm On Oct 16, 2014
If the 2015 Nigeria presidential election were held today, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress would crush the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan, in a head-to-head contest by a whopping margin of 78% to 22, an unscientific online survey indicates.

The survey, run through an independent third-party service called POLL, was open for 24 hours, starting on Wednesday afternoon after Buhari formally threw his hat into the presidential ring.

The survey asked: "If the 2015 Nigerian presidential election were held today, with President Jonathan as the PDP candidate and Muhammadu Buhari as the APC candidate, who would win? Why?"

POLL, which conducted and counted the survey, does not accept repeat voting. During the 24 hours, 14314 people voted, with the result overwhelmingly in support of General Buhari, who at one point held an 80% support.
Respondents came from Nigeria, Canada, South Africa, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UAE, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mauritius, India, Italy, Sudan, Australia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Thailand.

As the poll went on, a robust debate was also held across social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook. While a majority of responses mirrored the survey results which supported Buhari, some also held that President Jonathan would take another term.

While the poll was not scientific or official, it was engineered to provide a point of discussion, one expected to intensify over the course of the coming months.

Note: The result of the poll was generated independently by participants, and calculated by POLL. It was not influenced by and does not reflect the views of SaharaReporters.

i was listening to hot FM's program on Buhari's declaration, i was shocked to realize that 70% of the callers are all seeking for a change from the status quo and they all strongly believe that Buhari is the man for the Job.

There was a caller that said Buhari's persistence means there is a positive legacy that the man desires to leave for Nigerians and that Nigerians really need to give him a chance to lay those legacies.

60% of the callers are Igbos and majority of them really and truly feels that Buhari should be given a chance.

Majority cited the way he positively handled all the offices assigned to him and produced very good results in them all.

Every good thinking Nigerian is really tired of the corruption and filt this government is romancing with.

Am beginning to feel that 2015 might be the change we all desire - Lets Vote General Muhammadu Buhari so we can start now to change this country for the best! Lets vote GMB for a lasting positive legacy! cool

I guess a lot of people are tired of doing the same thing, it gets boring you know? Borrowing from the great Albert Einstein ... "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

This useless sahara reporters and their sponsors are setting the tone for post election violence. Over 85% of eligible nigerian voters have no access to internet.

Those alamajiris and bokoharam will hit the streets citing this useless polls as reference. Anyway, every urchin will be properly dealt with in due time.
