Lott’s Daughter: President Jonathan’s Second Wife ??? by Stoical: 10:24pm On Oct 16, 2014
Sunday, May 29th 2011 Style, a publication of This Day Newspapers carried a story ‘Meet the Jonathans, Nigeria’s First Family. On the cover of the magazine was a picture of the President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience flanked by two of their children, a girl and a boy. It should have been the magazine’s finest moment except that the portrait being painted by This Day was incomplete. A search through the internet for President Jonathan’s children also brought up the picture of the two lovely children who appeared on the inaugural This Day Style cover of May 29th. Perhaps, This Day was unaware of all the facts when it published these details. This information which most Nigerians outside Bayelsa and Rivers have come to accept about the size of the first family is erroneous. President Goodluck Jonathan has four children and not two. He has two boys who do not appear in the picture. They are known to be living abroad with their mother, a daughter of Chief F.D Lott who is a former attorney general of Bayelsa State. Perhaps, the Nigerian public had been largely unaware of the existence of this part of the president’s family because of the failure of Niger Delta based newspapers and journals in capturing national attention due to their restricted area of circulation. National politics takes a back seat to state concerns in the region. Most people coming into Abuja from Port Harcourt however become aware soon enough that not much is known about the president except what the Lagos media have succeeded in capturing. Perhaps, the same might apply to the Vice President Namadi Sambo. A visit to Kaduna will obviously reveal much more than is known in Abuja. There is the need for Nigerians to know as much as possible of those who they put in power. It would be impossible in the United States or even in Europe for citizens of those countries to be unaware of the number of children belonging to their president. It is wrong to leave Nigerians in such ignorance.
The marriage of Goodluck Jonathan and Patience Ibifaka (nee Oba) Jonathan did not produce any biological children. The children who appeared in the Style cover picture are adopted children. As a deputy governor Goodluck Jonathan had made the alliance of a young lady, a law graduate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology, one of the daughters of Chief Lott. The liaison between them eventually resulted in the birth of two sons. These are the only biological sons of President Goodluck Jonathan. The two boys did not appear in the family portrait painted by This day Style on the day of the inauguration of President Jonathan. Investigations show that the boys had lived with their mother in Yenagoa for a while before they moved abroad for security reasons.

I don't seem to understand what this author was getting to, but is this true...?
